Southview Church was established in 2008 and has been meeting faithfully and growing since. In fall 2018, the church was given 13 acres at the intersection of State Route 31 and Goosecreek Bypass, and since that time, we have been slowly working to understand what direction God wanted the church to go as we look to begin the building process. In late 2022, the vision became clear; we weren’t called to just be another church in the area, we were called to be a blessing to the town. We had our mission, but that was just the beginning.
The construction will be multi-phased, but will ultimately include a large sanctuary, smaller event space, and a top-notch children’s learning area as you’ll be able to see in the architectural renderings on this page. In addition, we plan to develop a park on nearly 3 acres of the land to be available for the community to use. From pickleball and tennis courts to walking trails and picnic areas, we want our neighbors and people in the area to be able to utilize the space as often as possible. Our goal is to create a safe, family-friendly space for everyone to enjoy.
As the gateway to Thompson’s Station, our goal is to help set the tight nit, family-friendly, community focused feel of the area. Our heart is simply to Bless This Town.
